You hit so many nails right on their heads here. It drives me crazy that people do not service their transmissions on time, and yes those flush jobs are rip-offs!

That Lucas does work I've used it on several cars
They tell you not to change the fluid because they expect that transmission to break so you'll buy a new car. It's planned obsolescence. Every mile that car runs is another mile they aren't selling you anything.
Do you know how i can check the transmission fluid imy dad searched and so did i and we couldn't find it????????. I have a 2013 kia optima lx? and i searched on youtube and no one is saying where it's located at or how to check it

Also, these damned sealed transmissions, with no dip stick, make it harder to keep an eye on your fluid and it’s condition.
My rule of thumb has been to change it every 30-40 thousand miles or every three years for the miles I drive. Same for the diffs and transfer case. Power steering fluid too.
