Nearly 4800 examples of Isuzu’s ute have been forced back to the dealership, over concerns about the leaf springs.
Isuzu Ute Australia has recalled the 2018 4×2 and 4×4 D-Max Crew Cab, over concerns about the car’s rear leaf springs.
According to the company, the rear leaf spring could fracture because the front eye has a too-small diameter.
If the leaf spring fractures, there’s a risk of the parking brake being applied because the rear axle is unsupported on the damaged side, putting owners and other road users at risk.
A total of 4717 units are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.
Isuzu will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix.
