Could a Ranger Raptor rival be coming from Mitsubishi? This teaser previews a meaner, more off-road ready Triton for the Bangkok motor show.
Mitsubishi is preparing a rough-and-tough Triton for the Bangkok motor show, but don’t hold your breath for a Ranger Raptor rival just yet.
Although it looks the part, the as-yet unnamed show car hasn’t been confirmed for production. Cross your fingers and toes, then.
Details about the jacked-up Triton dual-cab are thin on the ground, beyond the fact it’ll have an orange-highlighted bash plate, plenty of silver highlights around the nose, and spotlights on the roof.
The ride height appears to be taller than stock, and the tyres appear chunkier than standard, but we’ll have to wait until the motor show reveal on March 26 for more.
“The company’s designers were given a brief to create a vehicle that represents what Triton is all about. They did not disappoint, engineering a car ABSOLUTELY Beyond Tough,” Mitsubishi says in its press release.
We’ve contacted Mitsubishi Australia for comment on whether the car has any chance of reaching production.
