Vehicles Affected: Approximately 450 model-year 2019 Jaguar F-Pace SUVs, F-Type coupes and XJ sedans, all equipped with V-6 or V-8 gas engines
The Problem: The crankshaft pulley retaining bolt may fracture, possibly resulting in engine failure and increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the crankshaft pulley center retaining bolt for free.
What Owners Should Do: Jaguar began notifying owners Feb. 11. Owners can call the automaker at 800-452-4827, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
