This video will explain what you need to do to get another 50,000 miles out of your car. I wish I could tell you what to do to get 100,000, but it simply is not possible. So, get the next 50,000, repeat these items, and you should get another 50,000 out of it.

Thanks Robert, great video, as a mechanic myself, you're dead on as far as maintaining and keeping the car for long time. You should have well over million views, everyone should see it. Lots of us live in the snow belt and winter salt is eating the vehicles, even undercoated ones. Living down south would be great for keeping the cars for a very long time. The only thing I'd change is your Steelers hat, how about Bears hat instead, LOL.
2018…850 still look gorjess&orrrsemmm,…
Mine is about 300k++ km,its maybe 400k(odometer mad for sometimes),.
Bro,I really need you to tell me what to do,.its working when I turn those ignition key a bit backwards(after kickn' &while engine just runin')…
Great video. About to hit 50k on my car, and I'd love to get it to 200k or more. No car payment is always better than new car smell. I'd rather spend 120 on gas a month and buy some oil and a filter every 2 months than have a 300 dollar payment. Sweet Volvo by the way!
Best maintenance video ! Very impressed to see the comments. To see that old car was more reliable than new one. I would have thought there would have been more Civic. I bought my 2001 civic for 500 candian dollars. Change all fluide and filter, cleaning injectors, throttle body, change every belt, adjust valve, a lot of engine seal, oil pan seal, valve colver gasket, all brakes, one caliper, 2 bearings. 1 suspension, link kit. tie rod inner an outer, reconditioned alternator, water pump, coolant hoses, thermosthat that it ! all by myselft with youtube. Today it's my daily drive. Every month i need to do 800km one shot. I never have any trouble to make it ! Fixing your on car is very satisfying. I bought the car at 200 000 km in a pretty bad condition an today i have 320 km. Run like new one !
I have a 1993 Volvo Wagon with 300,000 miles still going strong!
2001 Volvo XC70 ash gold colour body on great shape with 315,000 km and still running strong. No check engine light on, last check engine light on was for emissions and I replaced j hose which turned off light. Currently looking to prolong life of car with possible spark plug replacements (replaced ignition coil at 205,000 km and spark plugs at 191,000km), timing belt replaced at 178,648km), new radiator. Only two issues are driving car in front wheel drive as drive axel was for all wheel drive was removed because of bevel gear failure, and loss of coolant every month have to top up coolant reservoir, though no signs of leaking in engine bay, so I’m thinking maybe somewhere I’m not able to see, ie timing belt housing, water pump, or plastic heater core inside car. Thanks Robert for all your great advice!!!
Thank you for this!
1995 850 T5 aprox 270k miles, which me and my dad have had since new when i was 10 years old
Not all cars with spark plug wires have a distributor. Some have coil packs with each pack running two cylinders.
I have an 08 Altima with 272,000 miles
