How to fix your flex or any other part of the exhaust pipe on your car for cheap
You will need:
– A sheet of thick aluminum foil (cut-out from a large disposable baking tray will do)
– Tailpipe Bandage (gun gum from holts or any other brand will do)
– Muffler sealer/putty (again, gun gum or any other brand will do)
– Two hose pipe clamps.
Wrap the whole thing in putty and bandage, then the foil and the clamps.
Let the car run for 20 minutes (DON’T drive it or rev the engine!!!!)
Then let it set overnight!

You could use the same technique to fix larger exhaust parts (like a muffler) by using overlapping aluminium sheets and use metal wire to wrap it up and hold it in place.

This fix will pass the UK MOT, but I don’t know for other countries.

It is NOT a permanant repair but it enables you to stay on the road while you wait for the new parts to arrive.

Nice job but that's a flexible pipe. It's not gonna fix a big blown muffler.
