Updated pint-sized hot hatch gets new active exhaust and eye-catching paint option.

The refreshed Abarth 595 range has been revealed in the UK, headlined by new exterior colour options and an upgraded exhaust system on select variants.

As before, the 595 is offered in four trim levels in Great Britain: 595, 595 Trofeo, 595 Turismo, and 595 Competizione, and two body styles – hatchback and convertible.

Trofeo and Competizione variants are now available with a bright new “Adrenaline Green” exterior finish (pictured), while the Turismo grade adds a new Asphalt Grey colour.

Now standard for Trofeo and Competizione versions is the Record Monza exhaust, which also features a new active valve for “an even more distinctive Abarth sound”, activated by pressing the ‘Sport’ button.

Power continues to come from a 1.4-litre ‘T-jet’ turbocharged four in varying states of tune, with the power output ranging from 145hp (108kW) to 180hp (134kW). The 595’s engine is also compliant with Euro 6D-Temp regulations.

The 2019 Abarth 595 kicks off at £15,980 ($28,522) in the UK for the entry-level 595 manual, topping out at £24,630 ($43,962) for the drop-top 595C Competizione fitted with the five-speed robotised manual transmission.
